Agritourism and ag-education are a major component of what we do!
Check out our on-farm classes or bring the animals to you with a custom petting zoo or event.
We offer several on-farm hands-on classes every year. No prior experience is necessary!
Typically offered April through May, our dairying classes give participants a chance to hand-milk goats, learn about care of milking does, and then take that milk to create soft cheeses, yogurt, and soap. Attendees leave with samples, plus a gallon of milk and cultures to create their own delicacies.
Watch for late 2023 or 2024 dates to be announced!
Kidding season is the most exciting but most stressful time of year. Targeted towards new or aspiring goat owners (but open to everyone!), these classes will coincide with induced deliveries of several dairy goats in the herd. We'll combine some more "classroom style" discussion of basic pregnant doe care, and then get hands on with delivery and post-natal care as the does deliver.
Watch for 2024 dates to be announced!
For those interested in trying their hand at artificial insemination, we're hoping to hold one or more semi-casual AI classes/attempts in fall 2023. If this works right - we'll have several does synced and ready to attempt AI. If it REALLY works right, they'll be candidates for the kidding classes in spring 2024!
It might be workable to bring other (synced) does on site if you have an animal you would like AI bred.
We welcome homeschool groups, scouting troops, and more to the farm to learn about the livestock. Or, gather a group of family or friends and inquire about a specific thing you'd like to see!
Whether you want the most adorable, unforgettable birthday party, a surprise visit at your workplace, a goat yoga fundraiser, or a petting zoo for a community event - we've got you covered! If your idea doesn't fit into the general categories below, please contact us to see what we can come up with.
2-4 young bottle baby goats to visit an event. We provide animals and supervision, pens/enclosures, water, feed, and wet wipes or hand sanitizer.
Up to 30 bottle baby goats for goat yoga events. We provide animals, supervision, any feed/water needed. You provide the location and instructor. We can provide an enclosure for an additional fee.
Bring out the barnyard! We load up the trailer with goats, lambs, poultry, rabbits, and a mini donkey (and sometimes bottle calves). We provide animals, pens/enclosures, supervision, any feed needed (we may need supplemental water with this many animals), and wet wipes or hand sanitizer.
Contact us for specifics on pricing - can vary with animal type and duration
We love inviting visitors over for some FREE fun events!
Goats LOVE eating leftover Christmas trees, so we have a holiday party just for them once the holiday season is over. Whether or not you have a tree to offer, come enjoy cookies and cocoa and watch the goats have a blast!
Typically held on New Years Day or the first Saturday after New Years.
It's the most adorable time of year! Our kids would love to play with your kids - or your inner child! Come enjoy some light refreshments and relish in the joy of new life on the farm.
Typically held the last Saturday in March.
