Agritourism and ag-education are a major component of what we do!
Check out our on-farm classes or bring the animals to you with a custom petting zoo or event.
We offer several on-farm hands-on classes every year. No prior experience is necessary!
Go(a)t questions about feeding, breeding, selection, behavior, health, management, or anything else?
Want a safe space to ask questions you're worried might seem "dumb" to others?
Read something on the internet, and want to see if it's really true?
Margaret will hold "office hours" once a month - there will be a brief talk on a specific topic, but most of the time will be open Q&A.

Fourth Tuesdays of the month, 7pm central

Kidding season is the most exciting but most stressful time of year. Targeted towards new or aspiring goat owners (but open to everyone!), these classes will coincide with induced deliveries of several dairy goats in the herd. We'll cover basic pregnant doe care, kidding kit supplies, and more; and then get hands on with delivery and post-natal care as the does deliver.

2024 workshops are done - please come back next year!
Our dairying classes give participants a chance to hand-milk goats, learn about care of milking does, and then take that milk to create soft cheeses, yogurt, butter, and soap. Attendees leave with samples, plus a gallon of milk and cultures to create their own delicacies.

No more classes scheduled but we will if there's enough interest! Sign up here: https://forms.gle/jADaPfHHRgv1Yza58
Raising goats, whether for pleasure or profit, is extremely rewarding but also challenging. Learn the basics of goat nutrition, housing, and maintenance, including hands-on skills like trimming hooves, giving shots, evaluating body condition and parasite load, and more. This event will be a combination lecture/formal learning and hands-on practice.

2024 workshop dates: April 6 and 20

The classroom/lecture portion of Goats 101 has been done virtually before, and we will plan another one if there's enough interest! Please indicate your preferences here: https://forms.gle/jADaPfHHRgv1Yza58
Got some friends who want to try farming for an afternoon? Want to learn something super specific you haven't seen anywhere here or elsewhere? Let us know what you're interested in, and we'll do what we can to help! https://forms.gle/jADaPfHHRgv1Yza58
We welcome homeschool groups, scouting troops, and more to the farm to learn about the livestock. Or, gather a group of family or friends and inquire about a specific thing you'd like to see!

We love inviting visitors over for some FREE fun events!
Goats LOVE eating leftover Christmas trees, so we have a holiday party just for them once the holiday season is over. Whether or not you have a tree to offer, come enjoy cookies and cocoa and watch the goats have a blast!
