Our chickens forage with the grazing goats during the day, nibbling grass and weeds, catching insects, and helping control pests and parasites for the other livestock. They are supplemented with locally-milled chicken feed, the occasional table scraps, and waste milk and whey.
We allow our meat birds (chickens and turkeys) as much pasture and foraging as we can manage, while ensuring their nutritional needs are met with supplemental feed.
Roaster chickens will be available mid-August for $2/lb
Thanksgiving turkeys TBD
Highland-Angus cross cows are a nice mix of size, hardiness, and flavor. Our cows are nearly 100% grass-fed and finished, getting the occasional offering of spent brewers grains or "cow cookies" to supplement winter hay.
Now taking reservations on half of a steer going to be processed in October. Contact us for pricing and ordering information.
Our weed-munching herds are almost exclusively fed on brush, weeds, and pasture during the summer, and hay plus supplemental grains in the winter. We feel they're some of the happiest animals on the planet and produce some of the most eco-friendly meat available.
Goat apple brats and goat Italian sausage: $8.50/lb
